Our visitors have a chance to interact closely with the giraffes either taking photos and feeding them. Giraffes spend most of their time browsing. Browsing means they feed on green stems and barks of trees. We have a feeding platform at the park where visitors get to closely feed them leaves or young vegetation.
While feeding them, you will notice their long tongue that’s extends up to 18 inches! Yes, 18 inches. The tongue is adapted to grasping. Additionally, the tongue is dark at the tip. They have no front top teeth. Therefore, if they were to smile, the photos would be similar to people’s first grade photos!
They are amazing animals. You should visit the park and experience all these first hand.
