The colobus monkey belong to the genus Colobus which is native to the African continent. These monkeys are close relatives to the red colobus monkeys. Red colobus monkeys belong to the genus Piliocolobus. Colobus Monkeys occupy several habitats including wooden grasslands, riverine forests, primary and secondary forests. They live in groups mostly composed of nine individuals.
